IoT and AIDC in 2000

IoT and AIDC in 2000

After negotiation for years, we signed an agreement with AIDC for attaining the ‘REAL’ E-Commerce which invented by Linda Din who officially presented at APEC 1998 in K.L. Malaysia to win the common understanding as ‘Urge the Economies to Implement the Relevant Infrastructure’. The ‘REAL’ E-Commerce consists of the substantial channel and virtual channel to meet the internet of things (IoTs).
On the 15th day of March in 2000, President of Panhornic ComMec Inc. (PCI), Linda Din signed a ‘Strategic Alliance Agreement’ with the representative of AIDC (Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation, 漢翔航空工業股份有限公司) in response to the challenges of the information revolution in the 21st century, and the preparation of the privatization of AIDC, and actively participating the field of development in the electronic commerce (E-Commerce), so that combined with private and public sectors to sign a ‘Joint Collaboration Agreement’ for the E-Commerce. Please per the photo (in Chinese):
The Signing grounded in the mutual benefits. In regarding to the content of Strategic Alliance as following:
1. Software Development and Maintenance of E-Commerce,
2. Hardware Production of E-Commerce,
3. Relevant Testing Services,
4. Other Related Affairs.
According to the capabilities of ‘Marketing Skill’ and ‘R & D Expertise’ of Panhornic ComMec Inc. to integrate the AIDC’s facilities of manufacturing, testing and tooling, both parties support and coordinate each other that will unleash the complementary roles and to create a win-win niche for the collaborative development of the software and hardware in the e-commerce.
However, after Taiwan’s Presidential Inauguration held on May 20 in 2000, a stupid official came to inspect the AIDC to request top management about new project to do; AIDC’s President Tsai Chun-Hui answered that “There is a cooperative project to run the e-commerce…” above mentioned official not wait Tsai finished his description to cease the talk, and blamed that “AIDC run what shit e-commerce?” Tsai was shocked to wordless, and later his job was replaced by someone else. Taiwan lost a chance to be the leading country in ‘IoT’ of the world and started declining,,,,

Substantial and Virtual Internet of Things (IoT)

Written by Peter Li-Chang Kuo
Looking back to the early of 1986, my wife Linda Din who was holding my five-year-old son and saying: “I’ll start a business for resolving the jobless problem.” Soon after, She really solved more than one hundred unemployment problems. And she thus found out that ‘Unemployment problem is a structure issue’, then on a certain day she cut and pasted to draft up a drawing (per Fig 1) as she meditated. She said that “the substantial ‘VAM & eStore’ can create many jobs, and the virtual channel will penetrate the commercial information swiftly to the worldwide market.”
Fig 1 ‘The eStore System’ (TES)
Source: Din, Linda (2001:cover)
No one believed ‘what Linda says’, even me too—laughed at that ridiculous drawing; until one day I suddenly realized what was the meaning of drawing disclosed, and wrote down the words ‘Heavenly Secret’(天機)—when this so-called ‘the eStore system’ (TES) in running that many people will become the beneficiaries. And based on her invention, she won the bill of ‘E-Commerce’ at APEC 1998; after 3 decades, the world called Linda’s substantial combined with virtual channel as internet of things (IoT).
Linda’s grandma was a devout Buddhist, and everyday chanting ‘The Diamond Sutra’, in which a scripture says: “The Buddha obtained the Dharma is neither real nor unreal.”(如來所得法,此法無實無虛) the scripture affected Linda’s thinking, consequently, she was in her meditation realizing that her invention must have the substantial and virtual channel to be a complete electronic commerce, and then able to create tremendous jobs for the needy. After knowing the real and unreal, It will be earlier to find out the industrial niche. And further to do the analysis of ‘where global competitiveness’, and investing that research and development in this direction until bear fruits.
Now, we turn the page 161-163 of her book ‘A Daughter of National Defense Employee—Linda Din, A Lady of Rich Taiwan’ which was published in 2001 to see what she described her invention ‘Substantial & Virtual Channel’:
My electronic commerce, which major purpose is for resolving the jobless problem. Therefore, I must design a lot of things that non-technique man power can participate in order for solving the unemployment issue, not moving in a single direction to use most popular technology to reduce the job opportunities and make more troubles.
For providing the chances to the non-technique man power join in the ‘TES’, so that my electronic commerce must be designed with traditional trading patterns--that is ‘Substantial’ (real/tangible) business structure.
Fig 2 ‘TES Model’
Source: Din, Linda (2001:162)
In October 1998, when I sent my staff to proclaim in Silicon Valley of the United States, all the friends who have invested or ready for jumping into the business of e-commerce, they questioned consistently my substantial channel was an error designation; and they looked at my interpretation to the electronic commerce processes are all doubted (in spite of it’s officially proposed at APEC and I’ve received the positive responses). The interpretation of ‘TES Model’ (Fig 2) as follows:
In a cycle of transaction, it looks like a broken line kite if consumer was absent, and it became meaningless. Consumer is the hub of the said transaction cycle. The whole action and the peripheral collocation must surround the customer respectfully. In the figure 2, consumer comes to the VAM of electronic-store (eStore) to buy goods, ‘he/she can get the goods directly’—this section is substantial channel (per (1)).
In the substantial channel, the only difference with traditional store is, the eStore installed a digital integration appliance which is able to ‘sell, record, transit and print the receipt’ be called ‘VAM’ (Vending Automation Manager). VAM is not only selling goods, but also a recorder, able to transmit the transactional data at real time, and the use of a ‘communication module’ for sending the data to the parent company’s administrative center—also called ‘Control Center’ (CC) to conduct the data processing, thereafter, according to the categories that will inform the related suppliers, via the logistics center for restocking to each eStore.
It made so complicate like this, what is the purpose? Because of VAM and its TranSmart chip card reader, and transaction records and communications are belonging the part of the advanced technology, that can achieve ‘new technology has applications occasions’—be called ‘Intellectualization of Technological Industry’; in which mechanical parts belong to the traditional technique field, be able to provide the opportunities for ‘Technologicalization of Traditional Industry’.
For the usage of communications and data-processing, a ‘Supply Chain Software’ (TSCM) must be developed that can offer opportunities for many Universities joining in the ‘Industry-university Cooperative Research Project’, and together to participate in the development of this new industry. When consumers gain the extra product information in electronic-stores (eStore), they are able to use the home computer into the virtual channel (per (2)) to proceed another level of consumption, or obtain the information services.
This section (virtual channel) is the most favorites to all those who are wishing to enter the field of EC (E-Commerce); but only being developed in this section will result the disappearance of many jobs. Because this section only needs a control center, a warehouse, that’s all. And people go shopping for the pleasure of real contact will be gone away.
So, I advocate ‘virtual must combine with substantial’, and the ‘virtual’ will be guided by the ‘substantial’ to boost the business opportunities.
About this Business Model, who is leading to run pilot exercise successfully, who will create new commercial paradigm of new era, and dominating the world to come by application of this first-hand technology. And I have repeatedly insisted above mentioned, the only reason is expecting to bear the fruits in the land where I love.
Moreover, Linda Din who has been continuously proclaiming her substantial and virtual internet of things (IoT) through ‘Panhornic ComMec Holding Company’ a firm registered in Santa Clara, California of the United States, and expecting to attain her mission goal—‘Resolve Unemployment’. When Australia invited Linda Din to share the best practice experience at APEC 2003 for addressing the needs of SME exporters, Linda was according to her invention with the patents and intellectual properties such as AU2001100308, 20018249.8, 20214420.8/ BD Nr.20214420.8/ FR2829270/ JPN3077047, 3098522 / US6304796B1/ ZL00258198.1, 01275745.4/00992344/ TIPO #164576, 165187, 173516, 192139, 192715, 212870, M250254, M250259 and etc. reiterated that her invention—the substantial and virtual internet of things which was named ‘Global Channel-TES’ as a multilateral trading system will be able to make free movement of people, goods, services and capital for helping nascent entrepreneurs gain better access to the global market in addition to her slogan ‘One eStore One Business One Job’ in Ching-Mai and Bangkok, Thailand.

Internet of Things, IoT & Linda Din’s Invention

Internet of Things, IoT & Linda Din’s Invention
Written by Li-Chang Kuo
For the sake of answering the Calling from the Sovereign LORD, Linda Din left her easy-life for resolving the jobless problem since 1986. Linda Din started a social enterprise ‘Sanhornic Enterprise Ltd.’ (SEL) by trading the electronic components like Audio/Video Connectors to earn money as seed-fund for researching and developing a coupler—TranSmart Chip Card and its RF Transmitter (TRD/Toller) which can be mounted on either the transaction and or identification facilities to form a golden net that new jobs can be thus created to meet the coming needs. Besides, Linda Din introduced her invention officially at ‘Market Access’ of APEC 1998 Ministering Meeting to gain a bill of ‘Steering the Electronic Commerce’ and explained that the information society in the near future must be via internet doing businesses for everything in addition to the substantial stores; afterwards, internet gradually be accepted by the people to do everything and to be internet of things (IoT).
TRD includes a micro control unit electronically connected to the electronic control unit of a communication module to upgrade those traditional vending machines to a new ‘Vending Automation Manager’ (VAM), then to be an ‘Electronic-Store’ (eStore), the cluster of ‘VAM & eStore’ their communication modules can be communicated one another with a host computer located in an administrative center (Control Center or ICT Center) via a special telephone line as well as satellite connections to be ‘The eStore System’ (TES). When ‘VAM & eStore’ are installed across the borders in many countries that operation as same as above mentioned method for the multilateral nations, so called as ‘Global Channel-TES’. And furthermore, Linda Din wrote her story of mentality in her Chinese book ‘A Daughter of Defense Employment’ (Linda Din, A Lady of Rich Taiwan) published in 2001 to share with the public-private sector about her vision and continuously proclaiming her mission.
On May 9, 2001, Linda wrote her ‘Preface’ as bellows:
About fifteen years ago, the image that “the global economy is experiencing a recession and there is a sudden increase of unemployed population that needs jobs,” kept on appearing in my mind. A strong sense of mission to do something for the era has driven me to devote myself to a long-term research on a new economy model that can solve the problem of ‘global unemployment’. This model is a financial activation plan, and it is also a ‘Rich Taiwan’ plan I’ve been proclaiming.
How to create a “Rich Taiwan”? The key is ‘Private Sector’s Initiative’, in which people kindly help each other and work together to create and develop ‘the Intellectual Industries with derivative value chains’ in order to promote ‘Technologicalization of Traditional Industries’ and ‘Intellectualization of Technological Industries’. This model of ‘Innovative Industry’ will also be used for ‘resolving the unemployment ’.
Such efforts have raised many doubts by the pundits and have been criticized and slandered maliciously by a cluster of scholars and exports. My strong religious belief has helped me overcome these knife-like slanders for long time. In recent years, companies in both Taiwan and the world have continued laying off people and shut down, and the unemployment rate is climbing without ceasing, this is the best explanation of why in these past years I have made every effort in ‘Innovative Industry’ and ‘resolving the unemployment’.
I must express my gratitude to Dr. Ko-Wang Mei for his willingness to write the ‘Foreword’ for my book ‘Linda Din, A Lady of Rich Taiwan’. Dr. Mei was the President of Police University and the President of Tunghai University. He is now the President of ‘Taiwan Regional Development Institute’ (NGO), leading a group of talented business people, government officials, scholars and researchers to contribute their wisdom and passion to Taiwan’s development. His spirituality of cherishing the younger like myself reveals itself all in the Foreword that I’ll just leave to the readers to find out themselves.
In the 21st Century, the knowledge-based economy has already turned into an intellectual economy. People’s knowledge has greatly increased. Many things can be done by the private sector. People’s power actively acts worthy of ourselves that will replace passive expectations as the only way to help us rising and to meet the challenging downturn.
The former American President Bill Clinton once said: “Much of the work of America cannot be done by government; the solution must be American People through voluntary service to others.” This statement is quite valid.
Today, the ‘Rich Taiwan’ plan for the innovative industry and resolving the unemployment has been underway quietly in the private sector with new hopes longing for changing the worsening economy. The launch of a ‘Rich Taiwan’ plan will create tremendous new business opportunities as well as purchasing orders substantially to benefit those traditional industries and technological industries.
Asia’s Financial Crisis of 1997 has led to a recession seen in many Asian countries. Today, this trend of economic cycle has directly hit the United States and Europe as karma to cause a tide of layoff by the businesses.
Obviously, under a highly globalization, the unemployment problem caused by the recession is happening in every country. All countries are closely connected to one another and no country can stay away from this karma. Although a country might luckily stay out of the crisis for a while, someday it will get its turn. The solution is for all countries to have empathy for others who suffer, helping each other and working together to facilitate balanced development of ‘technological outcome’ synchronously with ‘human value’.
While the world economy is experiencing a downturn, the ‘Rich Taiwan’ plan is a New Economy Model, I hope Taiwan’s successful experience of economic recovery will be brought to the APEC and the world in the future, serving as a guide for rebuilding the global economy and a model to learn from, and leading the world to the road of wealth and peace, ‘from Rich Taiwan to Rich World’.

The First Patent of IoT, Internet of Things

The First Patent of IoT, Internet of Things

Written by Li-Chang Kuo
Linda Din, A Daughter of National Defense Employee (國防雇員的女兒) invented the first Internet of Things (IoT), and based on her invention to propose the ‘E-Commerce’ at APEC 1998 as she was invited to speak a topic of ‘Market Access’ and took part in the task force to promote the needs of future information society in KL, Malaysia. In 2003, Linda Din was again invited to APEC to contribute ‘Global Channel-TES’ for ‘Addressing the Needs of SME Exporters’ at the self-fund seminar ‘Growing the APEC SME Exporters Community II: Business Perspective’ by Australia in Thailand to win the best practice of strengthening the economic society. Linda Din described her invention a ‘Substantial Channel’ plus ‘Virtual Channel’ to be new economy model--‘TES’ for free movement of people, goods, services and capital at APEC:
Ministers commended that “The process of building private-public partnership (PPP) to address the needs of entrepreneurs in APEC. It has been shown that entrepreneurs and SMEs are a major engine for growth and jobs. The best practice ‘Global Channel-TES’ is a best guidance for about 240 million people in the APEC Asian region who attempt to start a business each year.” Linda Din thus be asmired as ‘A Lady of Rich Taiwan’ and also ‘A Lady reached her hands for the Needy’.
A Calling—‘Creating New Industry for New Jobs’ came from the Most High, and the receiver Linda Din who left the kitchen for answering the call in 1986. Linda received a sign shown that “Unemployment Problem will become the most serious issue in the future.” So that she obeyed the sign to invent an instrumental solution named ‘The Electornic-Store System’ also called as‘The eStore System’, in short as ‘TES’ that is a multilateral trading system including a lot of components, meanwhile, the new industries of ‘Communication, Energy, Food and Health’ could thus be derived for tremendous jobs to meet the human rights. Linda made an drawing by her own in the beginning to illustrate its three major functions as bellows:
First, the lower part of front view is a substantial channel to provide consumer obtaining the goods from ‘VAM & eStore’ which transaction be called as ‘Business to Consumer’ (B-C). Second, the upper part is a virtual channel for computing the transmitted data through the communication module to the Control Center and then distributing the data to those stakeholders such as Suppliers, Logistics, and delivery of restocking the goods to the ‘VAM & eStore’. Third, the right side showed a contactless TranSmart card as a key for ‘A Door to the Global Market’. The illustration actually as a new economy model for creating a new market scale will be bigger than US$ 10 trillion to address the needs of the people.
Linda Din held many seminars by her self-fund to promote ‘TES’ and explain ‘How to resolve the jobless problem’ by means of ‘TES’—a new-tech trade and economic system for over a decade. And then in 1997, Linda announced her invention at APEC in Vancouver, Canada; thereafter continued promoting in the United States of America, and founded a firm ‘Panhornic ComMec Holding Company’ also registered in Santa Clara, California. The officials of Canada suggested Linda to apply the patents, otherwise the others realized that future profits that obstacles of resolving jobless problem could be emerged. Consequently, Linda Din collected her scripts and drawings to sort out and further for preparing the patented formats and applying to the multinational Intellectual Property Offices in addition to the TIPO. Nowadays, when input the key words in Google you will be easily to find her invention which she answered the call, those website samples as following:
Recently, the most famous beverage companies attempted to install Linda Din’s invention on the market. According to the TPP’ set the rule in Atlanta in October, 2015, the Chapter 18 is special for the intellectual property, and it declared that “The chapter establishes standards for patents, based on the WTO’s TRIPS Agreement and international best practices. The chapter covers patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, geographical indications, trade secrets, other forms of intellectual property, and enforcement of intellectual property rights, as well as areas in which Parties agree to cooperate. The IP chapter will make it easier for businesses to search, register, and protect IP rights in new markets, which is particularly important for small businesses.” Once a wise man said that “Business as a battlefield!” The most evil thing is to be a theft and as IP infringement for improper interests—the deeds will be defined as ‘CORRUPTION’. TPP emphasized on high standard, TPP Parties agreed to ensure certain due process rights for their stakeholders in connection with administrative proceedings, including prompt review through impartial judicial or administrative tribunals or procedures. They also agreed to adopt or maintain laws criminalizing offering to, or solicitation of, undue advantages by a public official, as well as other acts of corruption affecting international trade or investment. Parties also committed to effectively enforce their anticorruption laws and regulations.
As to the TPP’s Chapter 18 concerning the ‘INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY’, from Section A: General Provisions, Article 18.1: Definitions that based on the Berne Convention, Budapest Treaty, Declaration on TRIPS and Public Health, Madrid Protocol, Paris Convention, Singapore Treaty, UPOV 1991, WCT, WPPT and WIPO; and to Section J: Internet Service Providers, Article 18.82: Legal Remedies and Safe Harbours, in a manner consistent with Article 41 of the TRIPS Agreement, providing enforcement procedures that permit effective action by right holders against copyright infringement covered under this Chapter that occurs in the online environment. Accordingly, each Party shall ensure that legal remedies are available for right holders to address such copyright infringement and shall establish or maintain appropriate safe harbours in respect of online services that are Internet Service Providers, and so on.
